Inner West Jazz Festival

A festival of swinging, sonic surprises.

The fourth edition of the Inner West Jazz Fest returns with a line up of remarkable new jazz and improvised music for audiences who want to be planted firmly at the edge of their seats. With artists coming from Melbourne, Adelaide, Stanmore, Newtown (and beyond!) expect the radical, beautiful and straight up amazing across three focussed nights at 21 Shepherd Street, Marrickville.

From Mike Nock, presenting his legendary trio album “ONDAS” in full, to the launch of the new trio album from Jess Green and Dylan Van Der Schyff with Sandy Evans, Inner West Jazz Fest 2026 represents the living, breathing energy of creative music from our elders to a new generation burning bright.

Thursday 27 August: 7pm Alien Meal (Henry Hall, Tom Vogel); 8pm Hilary Geddes Quartet; 9pm Believe with Scott Tinkler.

Friday 28 August: 7pm Sam Gill Trio; 8pm Jess Green, Dylan Van Der Schyff with Sandy Evans; 9pm Mike Nock Plays ONDAS.

Saturday 29 August: 6:30pm Alex Jasprizza Group; 7:30pm Denley Osborne Heywood Jigalin; 8:30pm Dasika Keller Svoboda (Melb); 9:30pm James Muller Trio (Adelaide).

Presented with SIMA, 21 Shepherd Street and the musicians involved. This is an unfunded, independently organised event.
