Led by members of the ground-breaking Human Remains Research Project team, unearth four ancient Egyptian individuals. Far from their place of birth and death, who decides how these individuals are treated, studied, or displayed? What responsibilities arise when the dead are also understood as ancestors by living communities?

This archaeologist led gallery tour is followed by an exclusive behind-the-scenes experience, where you'll encounter objects linked to funerary practices — an exploration of lives and afterlives, and the complexities of care across ancient, historical and contemporary time.

Location: Chau Chak Wing Museum, University Place, Camperdown NSW 2050. Sessions run for 60 minutes. You must attend a minimum of 3 different Festival sessions to complete the Festival Multipack (save 15%).
