Troy Rogers' autobiographical one-hander Drug Baby is a vaudevillian solo show — a confessional, a homily and an emotional car crash all at once — playing the Boom Boom Room of Erskineville Town Hall for Sydney Fringe 2026. Mick Daley reviews a musical redemption tale delivered with ukulele, slam poetry and unvarnished sincerity, whose emotional honesty almost outweighs its shortcomings.

A Gumtree on Summer Road, written and directed by Lily Cox and starring Jake Davies, Marley Dunn, Evan Graham and Richard Lavroff, returns to Sydney Fringe 2026 at Qtopia's Loading Dock Theatre after debuting at Newcastle Fringe. Drawn from hundreds of hours of interviews with real boys and men across regional and rural Australia, it is a stark, deeply emotive picture of small-town masculinity — a play, Hope Pratt writes, that is meant to be witnessed and reflected upon.
