Ophélie Dénommée-Marchand

Ophélie Dénommée-Marchand est une journaliste indépendante basée à Montréal, spécialisée en vérification et en enquête avec cinq années d’expérience. Recherchiste et vérificatrice de faits, elle a travaillé chez Lead Stories pendant quatre ans, une salle de vérification factuelle établie aux États-Unis. Depuis, elle a contribué à plus d’une douzaine de médias québécois et canadiens à la pige. Elle est aussi encyclopédiste pour l’Encyclopédie canadienne, avant de lancer VérifRadar au printemps 2026, un média de vérification des faits. Ophélie est détentrice d’un baccalauréat en littératures de langue française de l’Université de Montréal, et candidate à la maîtrise en science politique à l’Université du Québec à Montréal.

Ophélie Dénommée-Marchand is an independent journalist based in Montreal, specialized in fact-checking and investigation. Researcher and fact-checker, she worked with Lead Stories for four years, a fact-checking newsroom established in the U.S. Since, she has contributed to more than a dozen canadian and and quebecois media. She is also an encyclopedist for the Canadian Encyclopedia, before launching VérifRadar in spring 2026, a fact-checking media. Ophélie holds a B.A. in French Literature from University of Montreal and is a master’s candidate in political science at University of Quebec at Montreal.
