Aubrey Wang

Aubrey Qiu-Qi Wang is a writer, producer, and editorial practitioner based between Sydney, New York, and Montréal. They are the Founding Producer of Sydney Dramaturgical Company, which delivered four productions at Sydney Fringe Festival 2025, reaching 964 attendees across 17 performances at an average 81.2% house and over $22,000 in box office revenue.

The Sydney Fringe season included a trilingual staging of Antigone — performed in English, Attic Greek, and Auslan — developed with input from the University of Sydney's Department of Classics and Ancient History, Auslan Stage Left, and the Greek Festival of Sydney. The programme featured embedded accessibility, scholar-led public lectures, and an interdisciplinary panel on artificial intelligence, and presented the Australian premiere of Matthew Gasda's Doomers.

A Ramsay Scholar (2022–2024) and three-time recipient of Faculty Commendations for Academic Excellence, Wang holds a Bachelor of Arts (Western Civilisation) from the Australian Catholic University, with additional study at Parsons School of Design.

Their critical and creative writing has been commissioned by the Australian Centre for Contemporary Art (2024 Macfarlane Commissions) and published in The Paris End, Sleaze Girl Gazette, and Post Poems Collective. Their narrative project Carrot Salad, made with Drink More Water NYC, was nominated at the 2025 New York Shorts Awards.
