Meet Zoe 'Cal' Le Marinel
Zoe 'Cal' Le Marinel (he/they) is an emerging theatre director, writer and performer.
A three-year consecutive winner in the Honi Soit Writing Competition, Cal is a constant eruption of opinions and thoughts.
His career began in high school at the age of 13, when the magic of three timber boxes and a hat rack first reduced him to tears.
Now he spends all his money on theatre, chasing raw creation, and he can't cope without a notebook on hand.
His specialties include absurd and experimental theatre (anything that can be called 'unfriendly') and drag/burlesque.
Beyond the page
When not writing or directing, Cal is a drag king performing in the Sydney area.
He is a founding member of the House of Genet, a Sydney drag collective.
